23 Dec Going Home and back to a warmer place!
At this point of writing, in the relative warm of my home in Singapore, I have more or less forgotten how cold Jeju on our last day was. All I remember was the grey skies, snow flurries that goes sideways as though they originate from the sea 4 km away and semi-transparent road and slushy wheel marks as traffic make their way to the airport. We had a lot of apprehension. The Spark was left in the garage for 1 day. Plus the tyre with the low pressure. Would we see a flat when the Spark emerged from the lift system? Thank God all looked well. 9am. Light snow, slush pile in front of the hotel. We loaded the car and planned a petrol stop 2 km down. It was the longest slowest drive, in L mode. None of us talked. At the bend near the airport, we dropped by SK oil (on our side of the road) and did a top up (29000 ₩). Ok, another 890m to go before Lotte. Pat joined the motorway, ambled along and almost missed a red light, obscured by snow. We have proven the ABS in the beat up Spark worked.
